Customers trust reviews to make online purchases. Reviews are a key ingredient to safe and predictable online trading. Honest sellers work very hard to establish and protect authentic feedback about what they’re selling.
Unfortunately I have identified a serious issue with review manipulation perpetrate by Feedback Pirates.
Feedback Pirates are sellers who build up significant positive reviews for an e-commerce listing page by selling cheap items and then after accruing hundreds of glowing 5-star reviews, they swap out the images, title and description on that listing for an expensive product that has nothing to do with the prior reviews.

I was about the purchase this portable washing machine because it was a “5-star” product but when I read the reviews carefully, I noticed they all mention stickers and labels.
Feedback Pirates are bilking consumers by selling inferior products using deceptive review practices.
Protect yourself by reading the feedback comments carefully. Caveat emptor!
